SADD Video DVD Release

2008nlsadd.jpg

The SADD Video DVDs will be in the mail this Monday, April 21st. All of the orders thus far should be fulfilled then.

We hit a couple of snags after State SADD with production of the discs, including a crashed hard drive that put me back a few hundred dollars and several days.

Sorry for the wait! I hope you enjoy the DVD!

National Youth Traffic Safety Month

From the SADDvocate Newsletter:

Don't forget that May is the second annual National Youth Traffic Safety Month (NYTSM), sponsored by the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS). As a member of NOYS, SADD encourages all chapters to conduct traffic safety activities during May. We've told you about various components of the month in past issues of The SADDvocate, and this month there's one more we want to share with you.

First, here's a reminder that NOYS will offer 50 $1,000 awards for the best NYTSM activities. Last year, 15 SADD chapters were recipients of a $1,000 award, and we're hoping for even more this year! All you need to do is register your activity on the NYTSM website, and you're eligible for an award.

Great Fundraiser Idea

Thanks to Shannon Hauge for sharing the information below. This looks like a
very easy way to earn some good money for your SADD chapters. Shannon's
chapter in Ray is in a very small town, but you can see what they have done
with it.

Definitely something to look into.

"If anyone needs an idea for a fundraiser, we have done the Little
Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraising Program for three years in a row and it
is great! You earn $5 for every kit you sell. We sold 344 kits in
one week this year and raised $1,720. It is also extremely easy for
the advisor to run. You can set everything up through the website.
All of the available products and other information is available
there as well.
