CAWS North Dakota and Northern Lights SADD Youth Leadership Summit: July 31st-August 2nd
CAWS North Dakota and NLSADD are partnering to host a Youth Leadership Summit this summer. Our goal is to create a peer-led, interactive, prevention-focused event where North Dakota's youth leaders can come together and think critically about how they can confront and ultimately prevent some issues in their communities, including sexual assault, dating violence, and other related topics. The purpose of this survey is to gauge participant interest and get some input for the event, as it's still in the early planning phases.
The event will be held on Bismarck State College's campus, with students staying in the residence halls. We will be utilizing meeting space at the Bismarck Public School's Career Academy, which is also located on the BSC campus. Here is a tentative agenda!
Press Conference Formally Launches New Programming and Focus
At a September 16, 2015 press conference in Moorhead, Northern Lights SADD officially launched its revised Reality Check curriculum for elementary students, a new State Farm-funded traffic safety lesson and the new NL SADD Constitution. This constitution, created by our 2015–2016 Northern Lights Advisory Board (the NLAB), serves to clarify the mission of our NL SADD network and our focus on what we are “for”, not what we are “against”.
Please read our new constitution (PDF, 44.60 KB).
