Reality Check is the brand new curriculum initiated by Northern Lights Youth Services for use in our elementary "SADDelite" programs. Reality Check is a series of seven lessons for grades 4, 5, and 6, facilitated by our high school SADD students. The lessons integrate the following seven key themes:

Respect for self

Respect for others

Alcohol and the brain

Other drugs

Peer pressure & relationships

Other destructive behaviors

Leadership & life after elementary school

Reality Check is being initiated across North Dakota in 2003-2004 and is being evaluated in a collaborative effort with North Dakota State University.
